Cropping image online: what to know

Draw a box over the part of the picture you want to keep. Pick a ratio such as 1:1 or 3.5:4.5 if the form needs a fixed shape, then press Apply crop. The crop happens on your device and the rest of the picture is discarded.

After the crop you can set a KB limit or a pixel size and resize in the same place. Cropping first gives a cleaner result than shrinking a whole photo and cutting it later, and it often lowers the file size on its own.
